ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE FOR NEW STUDENTS FOR THOMAS HEYWARD ACADEMY
1 Request admissions materials – materials may be obtained by calling the school or downloading the application online.
2 Admission packet to include
A. Fee Sheet
D. Uniform Dress Code
3 Application returned to Thomas Heyward Academy -- to include
A. Completed and signed application form
B. Contract filled out and signed
C. Any previous school records, standardized test results, etc., parents have available to send
D. Copy of birth certificate, social security card and SC Immunization form (if not available at time of application, they must be on file in the school office before school begins.)
4 Parent will be notified of entrance/placement *test date, if a test is necessary. An interview with the Administration may be scheduled at this time.
5 Entrance/Placement test may be administered. A non-refundable fee of $50 will be due at time of testing.
6 Review of the following by the Administration:
Reference check, if necessary
7 Parent will be notified by Thomas Heyward Academy of admission decision.
8 Parent notifies Thomas Heyward Academy of decision to enroll student and pays the $100 application fee and $350 building fund.
*Please note that K4 students do not require testing.
New applications and fees for the next school year are normally available during the month of February.
PLEASE NOTE: Absolutely no fees are refundable.
