John D. Rogers Fund
Mr. Rogers led THA from 1976 until he retired in 2013. As the former head of school of THA, Mr. Rogers touched on the lives of countless students, teachers, parents, and alumni.
Mr. Rogers was not just an educator; he was a guiding force, a beacon of wisdom, and a source of inspiration for everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. The impact of his leadership is evident in the positive changes and lasting impressions left on our school community.
Under Mr. Rogers’ guidance, Thomas Heyward Academy thrived as a place of learning, innovation, and growth. His commitment to academic excellence, coupled with a genuine concern for the well-being of each student, created an environment where dreams were nurtured, and aspirations were encouraged.
Mr. Rogers was more than just headmaster at THA, he was a mentor, a friend, and a source of unwavering support. His legacy lives on in the achievements of the students he helped shape and the memories we carry with us.
We lost Mr. Rogers in 2023, but we continue to remember the lessons taught, the challenges overcome, and the indomitable spirit that defined Mr. Rogers.
You can continue to honor his memory with a gift to the John D. Rogers Fund at THA.
