Rebel Overtime & Summertime

Thomas Heyward Academy is proud to offer the Rebel Overtime program for students in grades K4 through fifth—providing a convenient, caring, and structured after-school solution for busy families. While our Lower School offers a wide range of enriching activities, Rebel Overtime gives students a comfortable space to complete homework, relax after a full school day, and enjoy supervised downtime with peers. The program is also available on select days when school is not in session, offering added flexibility and peace of mind for parents.

Rebel Overtime Hours and Fees

After School:
Hours: 2:30pm-5:30 pm
 
 $8/child per day if picked up by 4:00pm
 
 $12/child per day if picked up after 4:00pm
Half School Days:
Hours: 11:30am-5:30pm
 
 $10/child per day if picked up by 4:00pm
 
 $18/child per day if picked up after 4:00pm
Full Days:
Hours: 7:30am-5:30pm
 
$25/child per day

School Year Rates: Please note that your account will be billed at the end of each month on FACTS and payment is due within 10 days.

Rebel Overtime Dates of Operations:

Rebel Overtime will begin on August 13th and will follow the THA calendar and remain open on 1/2 days and full days when school is closed with the exception of: Labor Day (9/7), Columbus Day (10/12), Thanksgiving (11/23-11/27), the week of 12/21 to 12/25 for Christmas, New Year's Day (1/1), Martin Luther King Day (1/18), President's Day (2/15), Good Friday (3/26), Easter Break (3/29), Spring Break 4/16 and Memorial Day (5/31).

Note: Overtime will close at 4:00pm on date of Spring Gala.

Bad weather and natural disasters will be determined on an individual basis.

Rebel SummerTime Hours and Fees

A fun, engaging 10-week summer program for rising K5–5th grade students!

🗓️ Program Details

  • Dates: 10 weeks of summer fun

  • Eligibility: Rising K5 through 5th Grade

  • Enrollment Requirement: Must attend and pay for at least 8 of the 10 weeks

  • Week of May 26 (4-day week): Special rate of $140

  • All other weeks: $175/week

  • Drop-In Options are no longer available.

Hours of Operation

  • Daily Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Drop-Off Deadline: Students must be dropped off by 9:30 AM daily

  • Closed Dates:

    • May 25 (Memorial Day)

    • July 1 – July 5 (Independence Day week)

🍽️ Meals & Snacks

  • Lunch: Participants must bring their own lunch

  • Snacks: Provided daily

💳 Payment Info

  • All payments are due by Monday of the week attending

  • Payments will be charged to your FACTS account

  • Drop-in options are no longer available
